Hybrid Interfaith Thanksgiving Service
November 23 @ 7:30 pm
On Tuesday, November 23 United Christian Parish will host the Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. The theme for this year’s Thanksgiving Interfaith service is The Many Ways of Speaking Grace to One Another. In consideration of the continued need for social responsibility during the COVID-19 pandemic, the interfaith service will be presented as a hybrid event (both virtual and in-person).
If you and/or members of your faith community will be participating by either attending in-person or by providing a video then please reply to me at email@example.com.
If you are among our faith organizations (mosque, synagogue, church, etc.) then you and/or members of your faith community are invited to share one of the following: a song, meditation, reading from your tradition, poem, quotation, or prayer.
If you are a political representative or an officer of a social service organization, then you are invited to participate by offering a seasonal greeting and remarks.
For the purpose of contact tracing, those who plan to attend the Thanksgiving Interfaith service in-person must pre-register. Further information to update the attendance capacity for the in-person gathering will be provided.
If choosing not to attend in-person, you and/or members of your faith community may participate by submitting a video that has a time duration of three minutes or less.
If you and/or members of your faith community will be submitting a video rather than attending in-person then submit your video by Tuesday November 9. Submit your video to Kate Hoing, UCP Communications Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or using the link https://www.dropbox.com/request/QYkNWgpJWFBgR5mbkNS1 to place your video in the UCP Dropbox folder.
Along with your video you should include the following:
- Your name and/or the name of your faith community
- What contribution you are sharing (prayer/song/reading, etc.) with a one-sentence explanation
- Who is leading it (names and titles)
- If a translation is needed, then please provide.
The Hybrid Thanksgiving Interfaith Service will begin at 7:30 PM on the evening of Tuesday, November 23, 2021.
Peace to you on behalf of The Thanksgiving Interfaith Committee,
Reverend Dr. Marcus L. Leathers Pastor, Pastoral Care and Development Reverend Beth Williams Pastor, Faith Formation
