God’s Plan for Salvation- What Is It?
New Life?
Rescued from Separation from God (God’s Plan for Salvation)
“What is salvation?”
It’s as close as your mouth and your heart. It’s the word, the message, the basis, of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Recognize Jesus’ power, authority, and majesty as God and say the inviting word to Him— “Jesus is Lord, my Master and Savior” — with our body and soul, totally believing in your heart and embracing God’s work of doing in us what He did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting Him to do it for you. That’s salvation, that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God. We believe in Jesus deep in our hearts, with our whole being we embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between Him and me!” Yes, and so we are made right with God, and so we are saved. (see Romans 10:8-10)
