Salt & Light Leadership Training Day Offered Incredible Wisdom and Skills to Laity & Clergy Alike
The biennial Salt & Light Leadership Training Day, planned and hosted by the Christian Church Capital Area Commission for Congregational Life, brought laity and clergy together to be inspired, educated, and sent forth. The signature event of the Region was held on Saturday, October 19 at National City Christian Church in Washington, DC.
The Rev. Dr. Douglas Powe, Director of the Lewis Center for Church Leadership at Wesley Seminary, gave the keynote address speaking to the question “What are the leadership requirements for the 21st century?” The title of his keynote was, “God’s Agents of Transformation.”
